Pleasing to the Lord

In Scripture we are urged to find out what pleases the Lord.  If that was the pursuit of each one of us each day, we would be experiencing heaven on earth.  The benefits of this kind of lifestyle are exceeding.

Thessalonians 4:1

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.

From Isaiah 50:10  “Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of his servant?  Let the one who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on their God.”

Isaiah 50:7  “Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced.  Therefore have I set my face like flint, and I know I will not be put to shame.”

Isaiah 50:4  “The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary.  He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.”

It is pleasing to the Lord that we walk with Him more and more in daily disciplined relationship.  When we do, He promises to equip and instruct us for everything we need.  May we walk in His light today as we live to please Him!
