Your GAMEPLAN

Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday.  We watched as two highly skilled teams came prepared to compete with very sophisticated game plans.  It was interesting to see how those plans were executed as the night unfolded and how important they were to either team’s ultimate success or failure.

It made me think about the amazing Game Plan that God has imparted to us for our complete fulfillment as human beings.  God’s plan, the GREAT COMMISSION, deals with 5 areas of man’s experience, and it is found in Matthew 28:19-20.
1. “Therefore GO”                         …we call this Evangelism (or Loving the World)
2. “And MAKE DISCIPLES of all nations,” Learning       (Loving the Word of God/Knowledge)
3.BAPTIZING them”                                        Invest             (Loving the Church & Communal Realities)

“And teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”  We find these commands summed up in the “GREAT COMMANDMENT” in Matt. 22:36-40.

4.                                                                                Glorify            (Love God)
5.                                                                                Fellowship   (Love People)

These 5 areas of living and loving shape our Game Plan.  They are the 5 areas God really cares about.  They are the 5 areas He wants us to focus on and make a priority.

We call it G-LIFE.  Glorify, Learn, Invest, Fellowship, and Evangelize.  I refer to it as God’s “High 5”!

This Sunday we will be talking about and giving each other a lot of “high 5s” as we explore how this all connects to everyday life.

These connections are very fascinating to me and I hope to you as well.  We invite you to join us this Sunday as we go deeper to see what the Word of God has to say about Your GAME PLAN of loving in these 5 areas.

Selah,

PJ

  1. Good word Pastor Jeff. It gives us some good things to think about and to apply to our lives. Looking forward to Prayer of Thursday and to Sunday’s service.
