BFF

Have you ever had a best friend who accepted you for who you are?  Someone you knew really loved you and whom you could love back in the same way that you loved yourself.

In Matthew 22:39, Jesus talks about this kind of relationship.  God’s word says to  “Love your neighbor as yourself”.  In John 13:34, He told his disciples “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you…”.  So Jesus’ love for us is the same.  He loves us as Himself.

We are made in the image of this love. Genesis 1:26 says “Let us make man in our own image”. And we are called into fellowship with this “First Family of Love”, (Father, Son and Holy Spirit, 1 John 1:3), who desire to love us as themselves.  This is an elite inner circle that offers us fellowship in a very holy relationship.

They are truly pursuing us to be BFF. (Best Friends Forever).  Check out this group of scriptures that give us a picture of the kind of friendship they desire.
